CHRISTMAS / HOLIDAY SEASON FOODBANK FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM

Toronto Azzurri Soccer Club

Hi Everyone!

We just wanted to provide a quick update on the activities from the past couple of weeks. The winner of our Holiday Spirits Basket was Denise Vazz who bought her ticket through our U14 Boys team. Congratulations to Denise!!!!

Our Christmas Basket fundraiser was a great success and all 100 baskets found a home. Again, thank you to everyone who supported this program.

The initiatives we are most proud of is when we help others. Our Christmas Toy Drive / North York Harvest Food Bank Collection / Metro Police Family Program all benefited from your donations. We helped support 6 families with toys and food through the Metro Police program. We collected almost 500 pounds of food to help feed the need in our area (see attached pictures). None of this would have been possible without your support and donations. THANK YOU!!!!

Now - a look ahead!!! We start in the York Dome in the new year. More information will be coming out before then so watch your email in the next week. Our Trillium Grant Light project is moving forward and the installation of our new environmentally friendly lights has begun. The IModel and TOSL leagues have already sent us applications for summer which are due the first few months of 2026. Our next Poker Night is scheduled for March 27. And so on!!!! Everything summer is coming up quickly even though it seems that we have just started our winter program.

We would like to extend a very special thank you to our coaches and team managers who consistently go above and beyond each year. Your leadership, commitment and care for our players were evident not only in our successes but also during the challenging times.

To our players and families, thank you for your trust, commitment and continued support of the club.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Coaches, Managers and Staff, we want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Seasons Greetings, Happy Holidays and most of all, the VERY BEST this holiday season. We look forward to seeing everyone in 2026.

Warm regards,

Louise Garneau-Ross

TASC FAMILY DAY

Our first event of the year as we celebrate the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be to honour, recognize, acknowledge and celebrate our Membership (Soccer Club Alumni) here at Toronto Azzurri on February 16, 2026 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

On this day we will have the opportunity to celebrate your contributions and sacrifices you have made for our club and a chance to say thank you!

Our plan on this day is to introduce and invite our competitive teams to this open house to meet the Membership (Soccer Club Alumni) and hear and celebrate your stories, memories, successes and opportunities.

This event will also be beneficial for today’s athletes to meet and greet those individuals who have played at the highest levels, been successful in life, and understand what is required to succeed in the soccer world of today.

Who better than to explain the sacrifices and contributions you have made than yourselves?

We believe we need to close the gap between our members, registrants and their families as part of an important step for growth of the club so all registrants and members (Soccer Club Alumni) are brought together.

We all agree that we have a lot of richness and history within the club and we need to share, communicate and honour the work that has been done and our plans going forward.

No better day than “Family Day”.

On behalf of the whole club and those involved Louise and I hope you will be able to free yourself up on this day for a couple of hours, come to the clubhouse meet the athletes and their families and have some light refreshments and food.

For those who are away we could provide a virtual link as well.

If you are interested in being part of this special event please RSVP (by Feb, 1 2026) to Louise at louisegarneauross@outlook.com or call the office at 416-782-1578.

Continued health, happiness and prosperity to all.
